Hi!
My name is Cindy Robert,
and I'm a Swiss foil athlete.
In real life, I'm an instrument technician in the surgical unit. But once I'm out of the hospital, all I can think about is foiling.
It was in August 2021 that I discovered wingfoiling, the sport that was to change my life. My parents and I took up this demanding sport as a family – one that involves flying over the water, carried by the wind. This magical sport is practised on a board fitted with a fin that looks like a small aeroplane and generates lift beneath the water. In your hands: a wing, an inflatable sail that’s a cross between kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Totally hooked on the feeling of lightness and freedom that wingfoiling brings, I started riding on my Swiss lakes in all weathers, throughout the year. Then, in 2022, I discovered that a GWA Wingfoil World Tour World Cup was being organised in Silvaplana, in the Swiss Alps. Although I knew I wasn’t yet at the same level as the international athletes, I went for it. It was a fantastic first experience! Since then, I’ve been striving to develop as a Swiss athlete on the international stage, representing three foil disciplines: wingfoil, pumpfoil and E-foil.
After two seasons in which I finished in the women’s world top 10 in Wingfoil Racing in 2024 and 2025, I decided to take on new challenges by improving my skills in Pumpfoil and E-foil.
I have therefore chosen to join the Surf Foil Tour, a circuit bringing together several foil disciplines, including Pumpfoil and E-foil. As my training opportunities in Wingfoil are sometimes limited, I want to seize this opportunity to aim for the highest level in these disciplines, which allow me to train more regularly.
Thanks to the support of PlumeFoil, I took part in my first World Cup event in Shenzhen, China. Having had only a few hours’ training in this discipline before the competition, I’m very pleased with this first result, which motivates me to continue this new adventure. I also took part in the Lake Garda event, competing in the pumpfoil event alongside Indiana.
Always driven by the desire to improve and push my limits, I’m looking forward to continuing to develop in the world of foiling and exploring the full potential of these new disciplines.
I’ve been able to take part in all these competitions thanks to the support of my many sponsors, who have backed me throughout the year, but also thanks to the many media outlets (newspapers, TV, etc.) that have highlighted my journey and my project. I’m incredibly grateful to them! In 2026, my aim is to improve and aim for a podium finish in one of the stages, but also to become a well-rounded athlete by developing my skills in the three disciplines, which, as you’ll have realised, are wingfoil, pumpfoil and E-foil.
As you can imagine, taking part in all these stages requires a substantial budget. That’s why I’m currently looking for sponsors and partners to support me in this project, so that I can realise my sporting dreams. For more information, please feel free to download my sponsorship proposal, and don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss it – I’d be delighted to hear from you!
