Hi!
My name is Cindy Robert,
I'm 29 and I'm a Swiss wingfoil athlete.
In real life, I'm an instrument technician in the surgical unit. But once I'm out of the hospital, all I can think about is wingfoiling.
It was in August 2021 that I met the sport that would change my life. As a family, my parents and I embarked on this challenging discipline which involves flying over water, powered by the wind. This magical sport is practiced on a board, to which is attached a fin that looks like a small plane and generates lift underwater. In your hands: a wing, an inflatable sail at the crossroads of kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Totally hooked on the feeling of lightness and freedom that wingfoil brings, I started riding on my Swiss lakes in all weathers, all seasons. Then, in 2022, I discovered that a GWA Wingfoil World Cup was being prepared in Silvaplana, in the Swiss Alps. Although I knew I didn't yet have the level of international athletes, I took the plunge. It was a fantastic first experience! I repeated the adventure the following year, at the Mondial du Vent in Leucate, France. Since then, competition has become a very important part of my life: I've reduced my working hours so that I can devote myself fully to wingfoil. As a result, I've been able to follow the entire 2024 Wingfoil Racing World Tour all around the globe and finish 8th woman overall.
In 2024, I embarked on a great adventure and a huge sporting challenge: to follow the entire Wingfoil Racing World Tour. This international circuit, recognised by World Sailing, offers athletes the chance to compete in regattas inspired by the world of sailing, in stages around the world. I travelled to Turkey, China, Sardinia and Brazil, as well as to Silvaplana in Switzerland for the European Championships. These competitions allowed me to discover the world and open up to new cultures, while progressing from stage to stage. By finishing 8th in the overall women's ranking for the year, I've achieved my goal of reaching the Top 10!
If I've been able to take part in all these competitions, it's thanks to the support of my many sponsors who have been with me throughout the year, but also thanks to the many media ( press, TV, etc.) who have put the spotlight on my journey and my project. I'd like to thank them enormously! In 2025, my aim is to progress and aim for a podium finish on one of the stages of the Wingfoil Racing circuit, while maintaining my place in the Top 10. This year, the circuit will be stopping off in Morocco, Switzerland, Turkey, China and Brazil. As you can imagine, taking part in all these stages represents a substantial budget. That's why I'm now looking for sponsors and partners to support me in this project, so that I can make my sporting dreams come true. For more information, don't hesitate to download my sponsorship file, or get in touch with me for a chat, it'll be a pleasure!
